Community Forests North West and the three community forestry initiatives in the North West – The Mersey Forest, Red Rose Forest and Pennine Edge Forest – have been working with PlantPARTNER to create a new editing software tool. This software, called Visualise2D, enables you to simply and quickly create photo-quality 3D scenes using your own photos and a ready-made library of images. This software is valuable to the work of the Forests, enabling us to demonstrate the benefits of our projects to community groups, partners and potential funders, making this an ideal partnership. Perhaps this software would be useful to you too!  The software is ideal for a variety of projects including planning proposals, woodland schemes, community projects, garden improvements, and much more.

At least 20% of profit from each sale of this software will go to the Forests to support greening projects in the North West.

To find out more about Visualise2D and how it could benefit you, whist at the same time supporting greening in the North West, please visit www.visualise2d.com, or contact us.

St Thomas' C.E. Primary School celebrates Mother's Day in an

eco-friendly way!

Over 200 pupils from St Thomas’ CE Primary School, in Ashton-in-Makerfield, entered an art competition to win a tree dedication for their Mums. The 8 lucky winners won a tree dedication in Viridor Wood, part of Red Rose Forest, the Community Forest for western Greater Manchester.

Lauren Winstanley, pupil at St Thomas’ CE Primary school and one of the winners of the competition, said: ‘I liked doing the competition because I like drawing and writing things about my mum... I like going for a walk and looking at all the big trees’
