There is now an opportunity for staff, students, graduates and alumni to dedicate trees to improve the city of their University. The University of Manchester is working in conjunction with Red Rose Forest and Community Forests Northwest to create a greener environment and encourage a higher quality of life for the people who live, work and study in Manchester. Community Forests Northwest, an environmental charity working across Greater Manchester, Merseyside and North Cheshire, is helping to plant more than 50 million trees over 40 years and you can become part of their work. Whether you are a member of staff, a recent graduate or a member of the alumni association, there are few better ways to leave a lasting legacy than by planting a tree. Planting a tree for yourself or for a friend or relative, is a gesture that will help to create a greener and healthier Manchester for today and for generations to come. Simply look at the map to choose a site where you would like 'your' tree to be planted and give a gift that really lasts!
